Is SEO in 2010 vanishing or exploding?

Everybody you talk with seems to have a different opinion about what SEO is and whether paying professional SEO’s is to help with natural search optimisation is on the increase or decrease?

Here I pulled together come interesting statistics which I first came accross from seomoz.org and blogstorm.co.uk.

based on a survey by econsultancy.com of more than 1,000 company and agency marketers carried out in December 2009 spending on digital marketing will increase by an average of 17% year-on-year in 2010.  On average, digital marketing accounts for 24% of overall marketing spend.
